The price of an existing home in the Orlando area went up 14 percent last month, according to the latest Florida Realtors report.
Metro Orlando — Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Lake counties median sales price for single-family #homes of $228,000. However, the 3,272 single-family homes homes sold was 1.7 percent less last month, when compared with June 2015, the report showed.
Meanwhile, the median sales price of an existing Central Florida townhome or condominium also rose 13 percent last month to $129,950. A total of 894 multifamily units sold in June of this year, which was a 2.5 percent uptick from a year ago.
Statewide, the median home sales price was $225,000, up 10.8 percent. The number of home sales also saw an increase at 27,086 — 0.4 percent higher than June 2015’s closed sales.
“Florida’s #housing market is experiencing tight supply and pent-up demand,” Florida Realtors President Matey Veissi, states. “That’s affecting the pace of sales and putting pressure on statewide median prices.
