A North Carolina Specialty grocer may anchor new Lake Nona retail center
Fletcher, N.C.-based Earth Fare Inc. is rumored to be interested in signing up as the anchor tenant for a new 70,000-square-foot neighborhood shopping center near Lake Nona High School.
If it’s true, the project is being developed by Palm Beach Gardens-based Blackfin Partners on one of the few parcels along that western stretch of Narcoossee Road not owned by Lake Nona developer Tavistock Development Co. LLC.
The site — which Orange County records show is still owned by Edgar O. Yates Trust, Colleen R. Yates Trust, Clifton Ackerman and Joy Ackerman — was annexed into the city of Orlando in February, city documents showed.
Meanwhile, this could be the third Central Florida location for Earth Fare. The grocer, which has been looking for local sites for more than a year, has appeared on planning documents for the Crescent Lucerne mixed-use development in downtown Orlando, as well as the Griffin Farms at Midtown complex planned for Lake Mary, as previously reported by Orlando Business Journal.
